Infant & Toddler Program

An environment where babies can develop, grow and explore

Infants enjoy a calm, loving space with music, stories, and one-on-one care that nurtures development. Toddlers build language, social, and self-help skills through play, art, and early potty training, forming first friendships in a supportive environment.

Admissions

Applicants

Montessori School of Mauldin accepts qualified students regardless of race, color, family structure, religion, nationality, or ethnic origin. The school accepts qualified students who, in the opinion of the admission committee, will have successful experiences in the program and will enhance the classes for which they are applicants. Generally, qualified students currently attending Montessori School of Mauldin will be given priority over other qualified applicants.

Tour

Schedule a tour using the calendar link. Tours include a visit in one of our active classrooms to experience Montessori education in action. Class visits are followed with a discussion of basic Montessori principles and a question and answer session. Montessori children are accustomed to observers and will continue their work without engaging unless invited by the teachers to do so.

Application

After the tour, an application link will be provided via email. Once the application is submitted and the $100 fee is paid, the application will then be referred to the admission committee for review.

Admission Decisions

The head of school appoints admission committees whose responsibilities are to examine each prospective student’s application, academic record, and appropriate testing results and makes enrollment recommendations. Families will be notified of the admission decision after the applicant’s file review and interview have been completed.

Enrollment

Upon acceptance into the program, an enrollment packet will be issued through our automated system that includes a letter of intent and enrollment agreement. This agreement is the contract for educational services between the prospective family and the school, and includes all of the necessary consent and permission agreements. In addition to the letter of intent, a family and child history, needs and services questionnaire, and probationary period agreement must be submitted. The enrollment process must include the non-refundable registration fee and SC immunization certificate to be considered complete.
